God of Righteousness and Peace, I pray for the members of the civil rights division of the Department of Justice who diligently investigated local police departments where abuses where alleged, provided extensive evidence of their conclusions, and worked to enact reforms when needed. May their efforts not be in vain. May their reports be widely read and profoundly influential. May they continue to move our law enforcement towards justice, equity, transparency, accountability, and rationality. When their efforts are derided, hold them up and give them grace. Amen.
